The Best Thing I liked About 2011 World Cup
The best thing I remember about this year's world cup is that last sixer of the tournament. The sixer that let India kiss the cup. Dhoni did it in his own style, fearlessly as a word can best describe. I remember that six every time i think about world cup. I wonder if that Sixer was better than the one Miandad hit in 1986 to win the Sharjah cup!!!
And I just remembered something a friend told me last Sunday. Each time she watches the repeat telecast of the world cup final, she still gets the thrill of winning moment. She can never have enough of it. True for most of us. Although I was not very excited externally when India won the cup, cuz i never thought we would. I even had a bet Sri Lanka would win. I lost the bet of course. Still the thrill of winning the world cup was many times more, thanks to that wonderous sixer from Dhoni's bat. The sheer power, and confidence with which we took it all from Sri Lanka was in that one shot. I love it. Like my friend, each time I think of it, a proud smile lights up my face. Man! The way he did it!!!
