YouTube Vacation

So I was thrilled we were making a traditional recipe for the Holy Week. Then someone calls out "bun is a good alternate". It was funny. But then I felt somethings cannot be substituted. You couldn't expedience the Caribbean by seeing videos on YouTube in your living room, could you? So I retorted. "That's like going on a vacation on YouTube".There are telepresence, Google hangout, Skype and other technologies to make you feel like you're there in person. But nothing like a real hug, a warm kiss or sitting next to someone on a bench in a park. Somethings, just cannot be substituted.

A Layman's Sermon

It's the second straight Sunday I made to the mass. It was special yesterday. We went to a Benedictine monastery. It's a long time since I went there last. I did not exactly know where to enter the chapel. I entered from the side meant for the ladies. I loved sitting on the carpeted floor leaning slightly on the wall – my most comfortable position in a church.

The gospel was about the Canaanite woman pleading to have her daughter healed. The priest who said the mass explained about the faith of the woman and her persistence even at Jesus' indifference.

Jesus asks her how the food of the babies can be given to dogs. In all sense, Jesus referred to her as a bitch. The lady's reply was even the dogs eat what falls from the table, taking no offense at what Jesus called her.

What came to mind first is the movie "Singham" – the protest here in Bangalore about Ajay Devgn referring to the locals as dogs. The movie had to have a few scenes cut before it could be screened again.

The lady comes across to me as super humble. She takes no offense at what she's referred to. She knows what she wants and she does believe. With faith comes humility. Rather it's the other way around. When I am humble, I am able to trust. I take no offense and hold on to what I believe. On the other hand, I can boast I believe and when my ego is hurt, I have no qualms of throwing what I believe and starting a new church. I guess one of the reasons for so many denominations every other day is this. Everyone is talking about Christ and his belief in Christ. But why are there many faiths for the same man? I guess it's the lack of humility to accept humiliations or give up oneself for the faith he proclaims.

The second thing that came to mind is what priest said a long time ago. He'd like to be a "dog" in his second life. The reason – it's the most faithful creature he knows. Here's a man who'd take pride in being called a dog.

If you're reading this even after knowing it a sermon, I am honoured. We hate to just listen to one and here you are reading it all the way down. I don't like long sermons and I'd hate to make mine long. Let's learn from the dog – to be faithful, trust irrespective of beatings and love despite abuse and from the gospel – to be humble. J

A Weekend Of Many First Times

At last there was this chance to go to a disc. I would have happily gone if it was on a bike. None was available. One was with a mechanic, other would not start. Since he insisted and I felt "this is the time", I did start off.

Waiting for a Volvo on the ring road on a Saturday evening turned out to be the most disastrous thing. There were hardly any. And when one came it did not stop. It was an hour wait already. No auto would come that far either. They won't have customers on the way back. Offer them more money and they will look at you like "are you trying to bribe me!" I thought going back home is the best thing to do. But thinking about the "first time" I stayed on. At last an auto came to my rescue.

The evening gave me a firsthand look of a dance floor. One thing I learnt – there's no MJ there. Just a few can actually dance. Others are all "trying to dance", throwing their hands and legs all over the place. Just like me or us if you like it that way. It does not come anywhere close to club dances we see on screens. What a nice feeling. We're not alone.

Someone said the DJ is not good. So we headed out. I guess these girls get it all for free. So if the DJ is not good, they can just walk off. How about me? I spent a grand just to get in. I haven't had ten minutes on the dance floor. There must be so much more to see. The girls, dance, DJ, the music and probably some fights. Who knows even a little dance-floor romance.

But before we left, my friend was super nice to give me another "first time in my life". A tequila shot. He showed me how to have it. The salt on my thump and lemon were exactly how I'd seen on movies. It went well. He asked me how it was. I said nice, and I honestly feel it was nice - the taste of lemon and salt right after a little distilled water.  The next day  my friend told me it wasn't tequila, but vodka. So that was not a first time.

Later we had dinner and some time in a coffee day. It was nice. Talking and a little bit of socializing. Although a friend, asked while going home "why dint we go home after dinner?" He said something. I think the right answer would be "who knows!"

The promise to drop me home if I just reached there of course turned out to be politics. I should have known. My gym plans and other Sunday plans went to dogs. On top of that, I forgot my keys when I left my friend's place in the afternoon.

Thankfully I dint' have to go back. I had some work till 8pm and he was coming to a  place just 2 kms  from where I was. I walked. No buses that way and maybe because it was Sunday, not many autos, either. I window-shopped at Harley-Davidson and Ducati. I went to Diesel showroom to see a DJ doing his thing for the first time. Even before I had a good look at the console and mixer, there was a call. "Come fast, we're waiting". It was around 9pm. There I go. But this time again another first time – visit to the poshest mall in town. Expensive coffee and sitting around talking. It was fun. Now my house is some 8 kms away. 20 minutes by car. It's a Sunday. It's close to 10 pm. I got a drop till near the centre of power the state. There's a bus stop.  But remember it's Sunday and late evening, almost late night! That means a km walk to the nearest place where I know I can get a bus. I did. Both walk and get a bus from where I knew I'd get. I did not wait for a bus in my route. Took the first I got. Who knows if there's any bus after this at all. Dropped off nearly 3 kms from home.

There was this hotel. I got some yummy "Phaal" and "Veel Kabab". It was the tastiest I ever had. The phaal was dry chaaps, as they said and not grilled. But tastier than the grilled versions. This was the only thing good about this evening. That reminds me of the morning. The loveliest breakfast I can remember. Rava Dosa. It was a killer. No competition whatsoever. Thank you mom (friend's).

Again walk. Happily this time since my tummy was happy too. Then suddenly there comes this car right at me. I jumped and was furious especially because, it was coming in the wrong direction on a one way. I looked closer before I made the judgment. He didn't disappoint me. Another obsessive law-breaker.

Any time you see a vehicle jump a signal; or a guy on a bike with no helmet or someone going on the footpath even when there's plenty of place on the road. Be it any traffic offence – look closer and you know where he goes to pray. It's the case at least an 80% of the time.

If you are thinking of the same as I am, do not call me biased/communal. It's how it is.

Ok, the walk is still on. Thanks to my friend for the party-invite and the promises of dropping home after party. I am still walking back home 28 hours after I left home.

What Obama Did with Osama

At best my guess is he's kept in some secret place to question and learn more about terror threats to the world. He was unarmed at the time of arrest. Anyone would agree that he's more useful alive than we're safe with Osama dead. As of now he's as good as dead to us. He's alive only to the US intelligent officers who probably have him to question. The world has taken the spoken words for truth. The modern generation who question the existence of God has no problem believing Obama's word. They ask for no proof. But I live up to my baptismal name, Thomas. I won't believe until I see. Add to the fake pictures, their decision not to release photos for reason sillier than can be imagined. Videos of Osama preaching war and death of Americans and Jews are widely available in the streets of Afghanistan and other places. Would the pictures of his death not prove his inability and scare people away from such attrocities? If it's holy, they certainly have many other ways to die than go all the way to the US and die trying to kill a few Americans. Not releasing pictures of a dead Osama is a clear indication of he being not dead. Later, we heard Osama's last rights were performed and his dead body was left in the sea with heavy weights tied to it. So noone should ask no more questions. He's disappeared and with no proof. If anyone wants any proofs it's no more available. What if he's kept in one Guantanamo Bay, for questioning or whatever. How do we know if he's not. And unlike the typical reasoning, intelligent people we all calim to be a lot of 'citizens' (including TV anchors) came on TV and said that it's ok to not reelase photos of his deadbody or any other proof at all and that they believe the govt has done the what they claim to have. I am mortified. They only know what happened. Now that Al Quida has a new leader, at least we know bin Laden is not at Al Quida.

The Best Thing I liked About 2011 World Cup

The best thing I remember about this year's world cup is that last sixer of the tournament. The sixer that let India kiss the cup. Dhoni did it in his own style, fearlessly as a word can best describe. I remember that six every time i think about world cup. I wonder if that Sixer was better than the one Miandad hit in 1986 to win the Sharjah cup!!! And I just remembered something a friend told me last Sunday. Each time she watches the repeat telecast of the world cup final, she still gets the thrill of winning moment. She can never have enough of it. True for most of us. Although I was not very excited externally when India won the cup, cuz i never thought we would. I even had a bet Sri Lanka would win. I lost the bet of course. Still the thrill of winning the world cup was many times more, thanks to that wonderous sixer from Dhoni's bat. The sheer power, and confidence with which we took it all from Sri Lanka was in that one shot. I love it. Like my friend, each time I think of it, a proud smile lights up my face. Man! The way he did it!!!

Who's the Man Of Match

Andrew Strauss scored more runs and became also the MOM. He almost won the game for England. But still "Times Of India" does not have place to put a picture of his on the paper today. These days, some newspapers only speak "Sachin" if he scored a few runs. Call it a century if you like. But i am beginning to feel sick of it. And if India won yesterday, would it not be more due to Zaheer Khan than to Sachin? Because those 3 wickets meant more to India than anything else. It's the same complaint the S Africans had when Sachin scored his half century of centuries. Jack Kallis had a scored a ton (I think it was the second continuous one) and his team won if remember well. Still the media here focused on Sachin and his century. They forgot India lost and Kallis did a better century. It's in a way good they focus on the good things. But not at the expense of better games. Probably they're on a desperate attempt to make Sachin the "greatest" of them all. I am beginning to get irritated. I AM actually and i cant stand this anymore. And to the dismay of all Sachin fans, I don't think Sachin will have a world cup to his credit... :)

BLUNDER-ROMA

I can read Malayalam and understand the language pretty well too. But not the so-called "largest selling vernacular newspaper in India" "Malayala Manorama" anymore. I pay for this daily to get me confused some mornings. Like today. Check the screenshot they have on their website. It was the same article on paper in the morning. I thought they'll have realized the mistake and corrected it by now. No, they are bent on keeping people confused. Read this article I have attached.

Maybe I misunderstood. But I did verify with a number of people to check if it's my lack of depth in the language. It looks like it's not that. Can someone explain to me what the headline and the body of the news say? To me they are contradictory, read the parts underlined. Let me know if I understood wrong!

Besides, Manorama has such articles, well, regularly. We asked the newspaper guy to give us a different newspaper, but it looks like he's been bribed and he'll give us only Malayala Manorama. WE DON'T WANT IT. Confused enough? ';-))

Terming the "Auto"crats

Let me ask you, what in Bangalore traffic annoys you the most? Non-stop honks, dusty roads, unruly BMTC buses? These are the things that annoy ME the most. If there's anything else it's when I have to get an auto. You ask the auto driver if he can drop you to Sivaji Nagar bus stand or Indira Nagar from Garuda mall, you'll most probably get a very reluctant head-shake meaning a NO, unless of course a driver has to pass that way on his way back home.

Ok, you are ready to pay "one and half", meaning you pay Rs. 150, if the meter reads Rs. 100. But, ever wondered why that meter is running so fast, although you don't feel you are reaching the place any sooner? Yeah that's because it's a doctored meter? Doctored to run faster than necessary, making a few extra quick bucks. Of course, we feel cheated and so helpless with no one to turn to for help. That's no more, because, I've got a few numbers you can call to register complaints.

If u get into an auto next time and see the meter running nearly as fast as Usain Bolt, keep this numbers handy. 2220 7750, 2226 0554, 2225 3500, of course prefix them with 080 if u r calling from your mobile. These are the numbers to call and register a complaint with the Dpt of Legal Metrology if you find a faulty metre.

Or u can send an email with all the details of the auto and driver to clm@kslmd.com

If the auto walas are charging you excess amout or drop u half the way to your home and refuse to come further the traffic police has a helpline for us citizens. They are 2558 8555, 2558 8444. email id: trasncom@kar.nic.in. I guess that stands for "transport complaints"

Those important number are here again.

Legal Metrology Dpt: 2220 7750, 2226 0554, 2225 3500.

Email ID: clm@kslmd.com

Transport Complaints: 2558 8555, 2558 8444.

Email ID: trasncom@kar.nic.in

NB: The news paper article i got this info says that they will take the trouble to find out the auto and if the metre is found to be tampered with, they will be fined and penalized appropriately. During all this time our id will be kept confidential.

Don't forget to update me if this info was useful to any of u. if u tried and u got no reponse, update that as well. We'll know if it works.

I Bought some Underwear at last!!!

Did I sound a little vulgar? Maybe I did. Read on. You'll find out if I "meant" vulgar.  One of the things I have loved the most in my life is Radio. it was unstoppable passion that made me choose radio as a way of life. I had expected surprises in plenty. the one on the very first day of my radio life was damn bad. first of all, I do not have a proper job; rather I have a part time job that will pay me … whatever, but can't make me pull through a complete month. Although I loved radio, I felt betrayed. But I know it wasn't radio that betrayed me. So I stuck to it. but as time passed I realized I was sinking deeper and deeper into depths beyond recovery. friends kept advising that I leave. I wasn't ready to give up yet. But I did give it up when I realized it was going to be a ditch beyond all hopes of escape.

Thankfully I left without lingering on too long. It was time enough to gain some experience. Still, not too late to start doing what gives me some money. And if u want to know how bad my situation was, listen to this: I couldn't even afford a few underwear during the last 6 months*. I left it and now, I can and I DID. Is it some kind of coincidence? Maybe! I couldn't just afford them, although I love all the people I worked with and the atmosphere there. I loved my job although I was never motivated to do anything really good. However, the shock that I got the first day never left and I left it at the end!

* I had plenty of underwear back up, so nothing like I was going around unsaddled!';-))

Unlimited V2V Calling in Karnataka!!!

Did u know that you could make unlimited calls to vodafone mobiles from your vodafone prepaid? (Karnataka Circle) I didn't know it until yesterday when i was browsing through the vodafone bonus plans. Although it's available for all vodafone prepaid customers, they do not even have an ad about it. Guess what? It's relatively cheap as well.

All you need to do is easy recharge with Rs.22.00 (you can do this online as well with credit/debit cards or net banking) and you get unlimited V2V calls from 11.00pm-07.00am, for 15 days. Imagine the amount of money we spent on talking to girl/boyfriends. Postpaid bills come nothing less than Rs. 1000.00. Even with a V2V unlimited plan my postpaid bill crosses Rs.800.00 every month since last year. And specially cuz of this, it came as a HUGE surprise to me!!! Hardly do I use the postpaid during the day anyways, cuz I am working or sleeping. Most of these long calls happen during the weekends and so I am sure this Rs 44.00/month is going to be a revelation to many and a happy surprise for all Vodafone prepaid subscribers in Karnataka.

Instant Facebook? Yes, with Mobile Facebook!

I wanted to share this with everyone the moment I started using it. I've been postponing it for some time. But now I think I have found some time to write about it.

Did u know u could update walls by just sending an sms? Yes, that's true. Not only that. There's a whole lot more. You get gist of a msg the moment it hits your inbox. You can reply to friends who have messaged u and did u know you don’t have to be logged into Facebook to do that? Just press the reply button on your mobile. Type your reply (yes, on your mobile) and when you have typed all u wanted to say, press the "send" button. It'll be instantly delivered to your friend's inbox and also to YOUR "sent" items. ';-)). Interesting, isn't it?

That's y I actually prefer using Facebook to Gmail (which I adore) when it comes to emailing and replying to friends. The moment you have a msg in your Facebook inbox, it's on your mobile inbox as well. This means there isn't a single moment you miss any of your friends or what they are up to. For ex. When Rohit Barker writes on his wall about his party at the BEACH, I know it the second he's hit the "publish"  button, even though I might be watching a movie or say, I am in the loo, provided I have my mobile with me.

It can be annoying with friends posting all kinds of updates about the games they play and links they post, isn't it? Don't worry. I am using it for a week now; I get wall updates, but not about games u play or links u post to your wall. Besides, u can choose who u want to be notified about. If you do not want know what a friend or a group is doing, u can unsubscribe from the mobile Facebook for that particular friend/group only. You’ll still be notified about everyone else.

What's more, you can post to your wall anytime, just anytime at all. All you need to do is take your mobile, type what you have in your mind as a text MSG and send it to the number +91 92FACEBOOK. What that number is? I'll tell u. Rather, follow this link: (https://register.facebook.com/mobile/).

You can add more than one number. That means, if you are a regular roamer and have multiple number for different states, u can post and be updated no matter where you are!

All that costs you to register is an SMS. And the maximum an sms can cost is Rs. 1.50 (within India). And u r in touch with friends 24/7. Literally!!!. Is that not sooooo damn cool?

There must be a lot of u who're already using it. Tell me if u love it like I do.

And, don't forget to post it to friends who love cool stuff like this. "It's my Friendship Day MSG to you"

MJ's Death and Media's Reaction: Looks like it's a funeral to BOTH

Michael Jackson who rose to popularity since the age of 11 has kept his popularity even at death. Just a month before his scheduled 50 stage performances in London he's mysteriously dead, reportedly of cardiac arrest. His father has asked for a 3rd autopsy today. Even at the peak of fame MJ never lacked controversy. His life was full of it. And even at death it's his partner. Rumours of his ghost appearing on CNN's Larry King Live (Inside the Neverland) sounded pretty ridiculous. If it was a superstitious Indian channel reporting that we'd understand. However, the CNN camera showing a shadow (apparently that of MJ) seems nonsensical. News that he (original MJ) was dead years ago is circulating the news channels? So who was doing all the shows he ws doing? Someone else? Earlier there were reports that he is feigning death to avoid all the debts he has? it could be two things. One, the media doesn't want to be cheated. So it assumes all possible options, but without verifying data. Two, it's a gimmic to attract the viewers, readers and make easy selling. Whatever the truth is, it looks extremely laughable. Should Newspapers, Newschannles degrade to this level? The ball is in your court...

Singh is KING Again!

16.5.09… a day that'll go down in Indian history. First time after Nehru a PM is reelected to office after completing a full term in office. I can't believe I am part of this piece of history. Many a history are made these few years. We now have the first Black American President. We saw the Indian stock markets hitting the top circuits for the first time in history. 20% upward movement in a few seconds and the days trade was closed. People like us who are so used to hearing black Monday now heard a "GOLDEN" Monday. How many time do we get to hear positive news like that? Are we not privileged to be part of that history people?

The people of India are well informed, that's the first lesson that the leaders will get from this election. Indian people cannot be taken for a ride by either misleading attacks against top leaders or by religious extremism. The BJP put the building of Ram temple where Babri masjid was once, at the top of their election manifesto. If they lost it still, with hindus accounting for more than half of Indian population, I guess it's time for the BJP and other communal forces to realize that people in India do not bother religion as much as the hardliner Netas do. This election was a testimony to the Indian resolution that we will not let India go back to primitive ideologies and parties that support them. We need progress. A Better India than what we have now. A more progressive, futuristic, modern, freer India. And not a fundamentalist India. We do hope that the new UPA govt will be able to live up to the dreams of young Indians.

Of course Lalu Prasad Yadav is up to some joke every time. Days before the election he left the UPA alliance to form the fourth front. He realized it's a folly, post results and now he's trying all he can to get back a cabinet berth. Will he get it? In any case, we have the laugh as he tries hard for it.

What do I tell people who think Sonia Gandhi is a foreigner. Some of them also believe that Tamil Eelam in Sri Lanka should be realized. So Tamilians in Sri Lanka are of the land and own the land. Here Sonia Gandhi who's a naturalized citizen and wife of a former PM, daughter in law to the iron lady of India and mother to two promising leaders of India is a  foreigner. She has no business controlling Indian politics. If she chooses, she can go back to Italy (she could have... long back, with her kids) and live a very luxuriously comfortable western life. But she seems to prefer the dust and dirt of India to the posh beeches and resorts of Europe. She's leading India to the development that APJ Abdul Kalam dreamt - India will be a developed nation by 2020. Again It's gladdening to note that the people of India recognize what's good for India. An honest leader whose origin may be foreign over native netas who're bent on leading India to communal violence and the colonial tactic of divide and rule. The kind of divide that Indian leaders attempt is much more savage than the British tried. These are leaders who'd standby as one community goes on a rampage killing thousands from a different religion. Later it becomes an election propaganda. Lives merely sacrificed for the sake of an election win. Should we let them talk about anyone's nationality?

I like to add here  a typical CPM reasoning. Ok .. Not now. I can actually make a separate blog of it. Even a complete loss is a verbal victory for a leftist supporter. I always find it amusing. Details later...

If Sr. Sefi Is A Virgin?!

Monday, 2 February, 2009

6:56 PM

If Sr. Sefi is still a virgin!!! Have you ever wondered? I did. That's wy this post. I  thought I cud give the public some ideas of things that could happen in a  religious house. I have seen a bit as how things work. So this first hand narration would help clear some of the doubts among the public.

If Sr. Sefi is still a virgin, i.e. the accused in the Abhaya Case are innocent, this is how the events would have taken place.  As soon as Sr. Sefi realizes about the tragedy of Sr. Abhaya she calls the priests. Now that's what usually any nun would do in such extreme situation, like  an untimely death. The priests naturally come to the aid of the nuns o their bike. They were, at least they would have thought, wise to have not come alone. But since the malayalee imagination has no limit that dint help.

Since the death (murder or suicide) of Sr. Abhaya was in the early hours of the day, they had more reasons to panic and ask for some help from the male counterparts. I guess they would have also informed their superiors, who also would have suggested that they contact the priests for some immediate help.

Yes the priests came. No priest would come alone unless he was the only person in place. I think the priests also thought that their plurality would not leave any room for doubt among the public. But the  plurality only helped the imagination of some sex perverts. The accused were seen doing something that shouldn't be seen?? What? Doing some charity? The Bible says, let your right hand not know what your left hand does. Huh!!!

The priests, if inclined to some sexual motives wouldn't have come in two. How many of us would go to our girlfriend along with another male friend? I hope I do not have to tell when! Yes I understand group sex. But I do not believe the religious life provides for that much of perversion. Or do they? Maybe an experienced religious could add a footnote here.

So if the guy who saw the bike in the wee hours and not in the morning, please have the common sense to understand that the priests have enough sense not to stay too long to make things more worse. They did come on a bike. But once their job is done (that of consoling, comforting, reassuring the sisters) they would have returned. Since their arrival had to be immediately after the death, the time of death and seeing the bike at the convent were close. This could have led to the speculations tat are still unfolding. Who knows how much more we are going to see.

The best example is their courage. They are sad but courageous, humiliated but not cowed down. Do I sound like some Bible verse? I do not know where, but I think, I've heard something like this before. Anyways, their attitude in these tormenting, most humiliating moments is anything to go by, they are not guilty.

The bike at the untimely hour could have been due to an untimely tragedy. Nothing more. Help is when it's required. Untimely if that's when it is required! I do not see anything more than that. Nothing wrong in that either. Besides what makes the priests get out of their comfortable sleep at such early hours? Uncontrollable urge? I guess and I am sure they knew too, that anything against chastity is much easier during the day. Or maybe evening. So they were so urged by animal instinct that they couldn't wait? Dude, I am sure, they had moving hands! I do not think they'd risk their life and reputation at 3 am just for 30 seconds of ecstasy. If they did risk, it did call for something more important.

Now, this was what could happen in a normal religious house. But there could be religious who're extremely cruel. And if these three are guilty of these crimes, they deserve to be doubly punished for trying to influence the verdict and delaying justice for 16 yrs now.

As an afterthought, What if Sr. Sefi is not a virgin? Still, given the circumstances, Sr. Abhaya does not seem to have died by Sr. Sefi's hand. Nor that of the priests. What if she did? Their confessors are pple who can be real judges here. I wish the Catholic church had a provision in such extreme cases as these to examine the confession and then decide to keep the religious or fire them. Maybe punish them if found guilty.

If religious have become so cruel as to commit cold blooded murders? I do  not make another post of that "if"? All the words in all the languages wouldn't finish writing that post.

Unnikuttan Contd:

All those who read about Unnikuttan in the last post may not have got too many clues about who he is and what he does. So i thought I'd give some details about our "Unnikuttan de Kothannur". He began to be known as Unnikuttan from No 85, Anjinappa l/o. Unni is Nitin Kumar (or Nidhin as he spells it). He's talented as anyone would wish to be. He's an actor and dramatist. U can see that from the well crafted lies he says so innocently.

But he's ambitious. He has big dreams and his talents match them too. Two weeks of internship gave him the name "journalist" already. And what u say of an invitation by a TV channel, for next year's internship? He's capable, though he may look otherwise. He's got good oratory skills and the mock reportings he does sometimes will testify to that.

He acts and speaks. Hei, I am talking about drama and speech. He's won awards, and many of them for both drama, speech and bala. He's earned some bucks too, by doing bala with his friends. Oh and his oratory skill was exploited by some political parties too. I guess he can forgive them as it gave him a platform too. That too when he was young.

So u know Unnikuttan now. The seemingly, quiet and childish face has more than just innocence and restlessness about him. I call it "talent".

Unnikuttan...

Unnikuttan... He's the second personality i choose to write about! He's a talented young man with brains that'll fabricate the best of lies u've heard. ';-). He can act, and act very innocent. He's a travel lover and any chance to be outside, or hopping abt on the bike won't be missed by our dear Unni. A leftist by family tradition, he's understood the harms of remaining one by choice. And deciding to live without a leftist lopsidedness is the wisest thing he's ever done i guess. It takes courage and wisdom to do that though. Especially when your father and family are staunch followers (the question, whether by choice or not doesn't even arise here).

I like Unni for all the ready help he renders and the freebee nature. He's got an air of decency about him too.

Delhi - the seat of all that is HOT!

Delhi is hot and very hot and in all senses! Thaks to the occasional shovers, my stay there was damn pleasant. But I liked the hot part too. If u want to see hot girls (only see) Delhi is the place. The people are better behaved  and dressed. Hindi comes to you naturally (cuz there's no other way around) there I guess. All speak Hindi and even if someone spoke English it won't be more than a few words.

The metro takes you almost all the places u want to go. It's the national capital and the security check is stringent. But the airconditioned metro ride is worth the bucks. Each time I felt tired and unable to stand the heat, i got into a metro and got down in the next station.

It was my first time visit to an airport on 25 June. We have to report 3-4 hrs before for a two hr journey. That's a amazing! Huh? I felt I should have stayed longer just to make her feel that she isn't alone. But Joisy is cool. She knows how to get along with pple easily and fast. How can I forget the way she got the burqa to take a photo. She just walked upto a burqa clad woman and asked most persuasively. Honestly, I wouldn't have done that for anything in the world. (Am I an introvert?)

Afeter leaving her, it was my day all the way. I had not slept a wink the night before. Daisy aunty and I talked til 6.30 am we left from her house. It's after many yrs that we are meeting, let alone talking. I hardly knws her. I have only one or two memories of hers, that too as a child. But relationships are always what they are. I remember aunty asking (more than once) "what did we talk all this while?". It was amazing to be connected to one's own kin like that sometime.

Oh the day that was 25/06. I left Joisy in the airport and headed straight to Redfort. What amazing structure that is. Jesus!!! It was one sight that'll make us think of the country that was ours once upon a time. How many yrs they may have taken to construct that and so huge? Centuries back? And the lawns and gardens? Wow! Salutes, salutes and Salutes to the Kings that ruled us once. That's when glory did mean "glory"!

Oh i din't say. I had a two hr sleep in the lawns in front of the parliament. I am glad no terrorist chose to attack on 25/06. I slept like dead in the train. I have never been more tired! It was one beutiful journey too, with monsoon rains cooling the way.
